Located on the northern banks of the Murray River opposite its small Victorian neighbour – Wahgunyah, Corowa is known as the birthplace of Australian Federation.
It’s all about the outdoors in Corowa. Enjoy a picnic on the riverbank or wander along a wetlands trail. Cast a line in the river for Murray Cod or visit the Murray Bank Yabby Farm. Top it off with a round at Corowa Golf Resort or at the Howlong Country Golf Club.
Check out the Federation Museum, and take a self-guided walking tour around town to discover how the 1893 Federation Conference paved the way for a national, elected government.
Visit the Corowa Whiskey and Chocolate Factory or head across the river to Wahgunyah and Rutherglen to sample local varietals at cellar doors.
