By entering 'Win the ultimate Melbourne weekend' ('the Competition'), you agree to the following terms and conditions of entry (the 'Terms and Conditions'):

  1. Standard Terms
    1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the Terms and Conditions.
  2. Who can enter?
    2.1 Subject to clauses 2.2 and 2.3 entry is open to all residents of Australia.
    2.2 Directors, officers, management and employees (and the immediate families of directors, officers, management and employees) of the Promoter or of the agencies or companies associated with the Competition are not eligible to enter.
    2.3 Entrants must be over the age of 18.
  3. How to enter
    3.1 The Competition commences on Monday 19 June 2017 at 12:01am (AEST) and concludes on Thursday 20 July 2017 at 11.59pm (AEST) ('the Competition Period').
    3.2 Entries must be received during the Competition Period. The Promoter takes no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, illegible or misdirected entries or for any delays or failures in any telecommunications service or equipment.
    3.3 To enter the Competition, entrants must enter via the form on www.visitvictoria.com/ultimateweekend. Entrants must supply their full name, email address, phone number, state and postcode. By providing email details, entrants are affording the Promoter permission to send updates and information following the promotion. Phone numbers will only be used to notify the winner.
    3.4 Only one (1) entry is permitted per person.
    3.5 There is no cost to enter the Competition; however internet connection and usage rates may apply. Entrants should obtain details of such costs from their service providers. The Promoter is not and will not be liable for any such costs.
    3.6 The Promoter may reject an Entry if it reasonably forms the opinion that the Entry has been entered using false information or via automated entry means or by use of a competition entry service.
    3.7 Incomplete, indecipherable or incorrect entries will be deemed invalid.
  4. Prize
    4.1 There is one major prize ('the Prize') on offer:
    The Prize comprises:
    • Return Qantas economy flights for two people from any capital city in Australia, valued at up to $2,000
    • Two nights' accommodation in a Luxury Room at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins (25 Collins Street, Melbourne, Victoria) including breakfast, valued at $900
    • Two tickets to the NGV Gala at NGV International to celebrate the opening of The House of Dior: Seventy Years of Haute Couture, valued at $1,000
    • Two Platinum Seating tickets to The Book of Mormon at the Princess Theatre, valued at $580
    • A gift voucher for Coda restaurant to the value of $250
    • A Cabcharge Gift Card to the value of $150 to cover on-ground transportation in Melbourne.
    The Prize is valued at up to $5000.
    4.2 In the instance that the winner permanently resides within Victoria, flights and the Cabcharge Gift Card will be replaced with a prepaid Visa cash card to the value of $300 to go towards on-ground transportation costs.
    4.3 Except as otherwise indicated, all amounts stated in these conditions are stated in Australian dollars.
    4.4 The winner must, on request by the Promoter, provide evidence which, to the reasonable satisfaction of the Promoter, demonstrates that the winner is an eligible entrant (as per clause 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3) and has complied with the Terms and Conditions.
    4.5 The Prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the Prize as stated. If a winner is unable to satisfy the Terms and Conditions or the Prize is not utilised or able to be taken within the specified timeframe, the Prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu.
    4.6 The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. If the Prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize or an item (or items) of equal or greater value. Any taxes (other than GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
    4.7 The Promoter does not cover any additional costs incurred by the winner including hotel room incidentals, travel insurance and any other costs incurred that are not specified within the Terms and Conditions.
    4.8 The winner must be able to travel to Melbourne on Friday 25 August 2017 and return on Sunday 27 August 2017 in order to attend the events outlined below. The winner will be deemed to forfeit the Prize unless he/she can show to the Promoter's satisfaction by Tuesday 1 August 2017 that he/she will attend the dates designated by the Promoter. If the Prize is forfeited under this clause, the Promoter may award the Prize to an alternative entrant.
    • The NGV Gala (NGV International): 8:00pm Saturday 26 August 2017
    • The Book of Mormon (Princess Theatre): 1:00pm Sunday 27 August 2017
  5. How to win
    5.1 Each eligible entry received within the Competition Period will be entered into a random draw.
    5.2 The draw will be conducted by the Promoter at 2:00pm AEST Monday 24 July 2017 at Collins Square, Tower Two, Level 28, 727 Collins Street, Melbourne, Victoria 3008. The winner will be notified by email or phone and their name will be published on visitvictoria.com/ultimateweekend.
    5.3 The Promoter's decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the Competition result or any other decisions the Promoter makes in connection with the Promotion.
    5.4 Prizes will be awarded to the person named in the entry. However, in a dispute, will be awarded to the account holder of the entry mechanism used to submit the entry (e.g. mobile phone account holder or land line account holder).
    5.5 Should an entrant's contact details change during the Competition Period, it is the entrant's responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to the Promoter at feedback@visitvictoria.com.au.
    5.6 If the Prize remains unclaimed after seven (7) days of notification being given, the Promoter may withdraw the Prize and award it to an alternative entrant by conducting an unclaimed prize draw on 31 July 2017.
  6. Liability
    6.1 The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, misadventure, accident, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence) in connection with this Competition or accepting or using any Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
    6.2 Subject to any restrictions at law, the liability of the Promoter however arising is limited to the total value of the Prize.
    6.3 The Promoter is not responsible for any technical error that may occur during the administration of this Competition including but not limited to any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
    6.4 If, for any reason, this Competition is not capable of being conducted as planned, including but not limited to, due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition.
  7. Privacy
    7.1 The Promoter collects your contact details in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) (the Act) for the purposes of the Competition. As an entrant and participant you agree to this collection and the Promoter acknowledges that it will not disclose such information to any third parties save where permitted by the Act. However, by entering the Competition you consent to, and acknowledge that, the Promoter may send you further information and promotional material relating to tourism in Victoria and Australia.
    7.2 Without limiting any other paragraph, the Promoter may at its discretion amend any aspect of this Competition, subject to any applicable laws.
