250 High Street, Northcote, Victoria, 3070
In its former life, the Wesley Anne was a church – which is somewhat fitting, given how devoted regulars congregate at this northern institution. Built in 1854 and retaining much of its original design, this is one of Melbourne's holiest watering holes. A sprawling beer garden, vibrant performance scene and elegant dining room make for good, secular fun.
