From early on jazz was inclusive of all races and served as a tool to confront social injustices. Jackie has selected songs by artists including Louis Armstrong, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Leonard Cohen and Vince Jones, demonstrating the range of social justice issues addressed by jazz artists from the 1930’s to the modern day.

Jackie has developed her own style, imparting a range of emotions through her use of varied vocal timbre. She has become a regular fixture in the Melbourne jazz scene performing with a range of Melbourne’s finest jazz musicians.
