Eric Wyatt was born and raised in New York City in the borough of Brooklyn. His father was a musician who played with some of the greatest Jazz musicians. Eric can remember meeting some of the Legends of this music at a very young age. His father, Charles Wyatt played tenor saxophone and sometimes he would often drive Sonny Rollins' band members to perform. Eric would go along for some of these rides at the age of ten years old. One of those rides led to him discover he wanted to be a musician. He met the great Miles Davis, another close friend of his father at the Bottom Line in the early 70's.Over the years, Eric has played at many of the most historic clubs in the U.S.A: Yoshi's, The Blue Note, The Jazz Standard, Birdland The Jazz Bistro, Sweet Rhythm, The Jazz Kitchen, The Blue Room, Jazz at Lincoln Center and Dizzy's Coca Cola and internationally: Lebanon, Shanghai, China and Japan. And now he's excited to be coming to Melbourne, Australia to play for you at Bird's Basement.Dinner show 7:30pm (doors open 6:00pm).Supper show 10:00pm (doors open 9:30pm).
