In 1967, James Taylor was discharged from the psychiatric hospital where he spent his late teens. As he continued to struggle with illness and addiction, his talent led him on a journey from New York where he formed his first band, to London where he recorded with the Beatles, Los Angeles where he became part of the politically charged songwriter’s movement and back to his beloved Martha’s Vineyard where his first two children were born. Taylor’s ascent to success and fame, along with his struggles with drugs and self-doubt, took him to the edge of his sanity.

JOHN FLEMING (Scared Weird Little Guys), pays tribute to the legacy of James Taylor’s musical brilliance. Fleming’s fine guitar playing, crystal voice, exceptional musicianship and clear storytelling make this a performance not to be missed. This beautifully constructed and lovingly presented biography show of songwriter James Taylor played to a sell-out crowd in it’s premiere season in Melbourne in 2015.
