Waterfalls

Grampians

  • McKenzie Falls, The Grampians, Victoria, Australia

Explore the Grampians region's national parks and reserves and be rewarded by the sight of fern gullies, rock pools and the roar of water cascading over ancient rock formations.

Break up your hiking adventures in the Grampians National Park with a picnic at one of the region's pristine waterfalls. Take the road from Halls Gap to Wartook Valley, stopping off at MacKenzie Falls along the way. Stand in the mist and watch the water crashing over the cliffs of one of Victoria's largest waterfalls. Head north to Beehive Falls to see the water drop 25 metres into the rock pools below or take the fern-laden trail south to Silverband Falls, just fifteen minutes drive from Halls Gap.

Visiting Mount Buangor State Park? Don't miss the magical walk through blue gum forest to reach Ferntree and Cascade falls. The Hamilton area is home to two waterfalls fed by the Wannon River – Wannon Falls and Nigretta Falls.
