What is the ContainART Mobile Gallery?

ContainART Mobile Gallery is an initiative of the City of Ballarat designed to bring quality contemporary visual art to the communities and neighbourhoods of Ballarat and surrounds.

Fashioned from a re-furbished shipping container and featuring gallery-style viewing windows and solar lighting, the ContainART Mobile Gallery moves to a new Ballarat location and features the work of new artists every month.

The 2017 ContainART Mobile Gallery Winter Exhibition Calendar features:

1 - 30 June - Paintings by David Mellows at Ballarat Botanical Gardens, Lake Wendouree
4 - 30 July - 2017 Ballarat Winter Festival at Canadian Reserve, Geelong Road
19 August - 17 September - Ballarat International Foto Biennale Fringe Program - Tokyo Is Yours. Photos by Meg Hewitt. City Oval at Pleasant Street and Sturt Street
