For the seasoned roadie, spin your way around the Bellarine Peninsula, take in the spectacular coastal views, and stop for breakfast and the morning paper at a local seaside cafe. Or for the adventurous mountain biker, head for the You Yangs and enjoy world-class riding along some challenging bush trails.
Historic rail trails
Check out the well-maintained rail trails that can be found throughout the region. Find a map, pick a trail and make your way through all types of terrain, from the wine regions to the coast.
Visit the You Yangs Regional Park and its purpose-built XC and downhill trails, which are split into two main areas. The Western Plantation includes a 30-kilometre single-track loop, while The Stockyards has 35 kilometres of downhill rides and XC trails.
The diverse terrain in the region means there are also plenty of other places to get off-road including the Ted Wilson Trail, the Tom McKean Trail, or the Waurn Ponds Creek Trail.
Spectate or be a part of one of the many great events that pass through this region, from Around the Bay in a Day to the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race. Take in the sounds and sights of hundreds of people getting out on their bikes, going at their own pace, and having a blast.

Explore bustling Geelong Waterfront then cycle along the shores of Corio Bay, along the Barwon River and Buckley Falls, through the tranquil Eastern Gardens and back to the waterfront.
Bellarine (98 kilometres)
Take in the historic charm of the Bellarine Peninsula as you cycle along it, including Point Lonsdale and the treacherous Rip, Ocean Grove, and the coastal dunes around Barwon Heads.
Bellarine Rail Trail (32.5 kilometres)
Ride from Geelong to Queenscliff on a rail trail that takes in fine wineries, cafes and restaurants, fantastic beaches and magnificent landscapes.
