Donald McLeod: King Spa Suite - Room capacity: 0
Donald McLeod, Daylesford’s first Town Clerk and later a Member of Victorian Parliament built this magnificent home in the 1860’s. He would thoroughly approve the perfect mix of contemporary and traditional updates that have kept this home in character, particularly his namesake, a suite fit for a king.
This handsome suite consisting of king size brass bed that you could get lost in, classic black and white tiled bathroom with spacious, deep spa and separate and similarly large shower. Dappled light coming through the Lead light window, with another window looking out to the garden surrounding the original entrance to the house. Sumptuous.
John Kabay: Queen Room - Room capacity: 0
Named for the artist who ran this home as a Boarding House in the 1950’s, the John Kabay Queen room is perfect for the weekender.
The comfort of your own facilities, including a shower, a bed to dream of and art pieces that John Kabay would have loved. Two windows provide lots of light to enjoy the various artistic details.
Mrs Emily Wilson: Queen Room - Room capacity: 0
Mrs. Wilson appreciated the finer things in life. If Holyrood’s walls could talk you would hear about Caledonian society meetings, music soirées and the sounds of Mr. Wilson’s violin, when he wasn’t performing with the Symphony Orchestra.
Now many years later the Emily Wilson Room is still full of the finer things in life. A queen brass, garden views and private facilities accentuate the lavish features inside and outside.
Dr Fred Eggleston: King Spa Suite - Room capacity: 0
Dr. Eggleston ministered to Daylesford's sick for many years while living here with his wife Maggie. Maggie’s legacy can be seen in the thousands of bulbs that are planted throughout the garden.
This lovely suite includes its own spa bathroom and dressing room and elegant sitting area. The artistic touches and refined atmosphere will provide rejuvenation and well-being.
Jane Gregory: King Spa Room - Room capacity: 0
Jane Gregory was a fairly recent owner in the scheme of things and turned Holyrood into Daylesford's first ever fine dining restaurant. Sited in the original Victorian kitchen, this unique corner of the house contains many original features.
Sleeping here feels like a trip into a very luxurious past. Surrounded with pieces of art, a large sunlit garden window and a spa bathroom. This room will whet your appetite for the adventures this region provides.
Holyrood House - Room capacity: 0
This beautiful property is not just an escape from big city stresses, not just an oasis in Victoria’s most iconic and magnificent tourism setting, but an experience in and of itself.
Throughout its lifetime, Holyrood House has acted as a catalyst. Historically, it was both the first Daylesford property to have electricity connected and Daylesford’s first fine dining restaurant. Aesthetically, it boasts many of the original features for which it has been celebrated for over 100 years.
Today it is foremost in service and hospitality. Established gardens, magnificent views, and an easy walk to all of Daylesford’s highlights. Holyrood House Daylesford is not just a place to stay, it is something rather special.
