Farmers' markets

  • Wander Victoria. Lancefield Farmers' Market, Daylesford and the Macedon Ranges, Victoria, Australia

Straight from the paddock, chicken coop, veggie patch and farmhouse kitchen, regional Victoria's farmers' markets bring the best to your basket: the freshest, seasonal local produce, handmade preserves, artisan breads and cheeses, oils... if there's a market for it, there's a market with it.

Farmers' markets pop up on weekends at local ovals and parks, town halls and footpaths, weekly, fortnightly and monthly in towns big and small across Victoria. Great community events, the markets are a fabulous opportunity to meet local farmers and producers, makers and experts, and really get a taste for a place.

And it's not all food: you might find demonstrations to watch, workshops to attend and loads of local entertainment – face painting for little kids, and live music and pop-up bars for the bigger ones.

So bring a basket and make new tastebuddies on your next wander around Victoria.
